The days are getting longer and the sun is finally starting to come out again, the snowdrops and daffodils are starting to bloom and the birds are chirping even early in the morning – Spring is just around the corner. This month we officially enter Spring in the UK and the Northern Hemisphere and after a winter of lockdown and isolation, the light is a very welcome change. Very soon everything is gonna start to bloom and the treetops will turn green, and as nature renews itself and a new season begins, this is a great time to also tune inwards and do a mindful Spring clean yourself.
The spring equinox is also called the vernal equinox marks the beginning of the spring season in the Northern Hemisphere and the autumn season in the Southern Hemisphere. It represents the day where the day and night are almost equal and therefore the Spring equinox brings with it longer, brighter and warmer days.
Spiritually the Spring equinox represents a time of growth and rebirth, as the days become longer you will start to feel an inner shift, of becoming more energetic and inspired. Just as the earth is coming alive again after the winter season, so will your soul and spirit.
When the season first starts to shift from Winter to Spring, you might start to feel a little off balance. After a winter of tuning inwards and slowing down energetically, this shift to growth and higher energy, might throw you a little bit. Listen to yourself and take notice of how nature blooms little by little, instead of all at once.
